Networking is very important in career success. It’s important to develop, and sustain, a network for advice and information. As we usually say: “It’s who you know”.
Your network can help you get new ideas, and find partners for new projects. This is useful in giving some inspirations, and introduce you to potential customers. A lot of opportunities are available through ‘ word of mouth’.
You can develop a good network through volunteering, leisure time, hobbies, sport activities, networking events related to your sector, friends, and so forth. The aim is to maintain those relationships so that you can create a supportive network, and create relationships of mutual help.
